Funtimes in Babylon Lyrics
Fun times in Babylon
That's what I'm counting on
Before the dam goes up at the foot of the sea
Before the new wing of the prison ribbon ceremony
Before the star of the morning comes looking for me
I would like to abuse my lungs
Smoke everything in sight with every girl I've ever loved
Ride around the wreckage on a horse knee-deep in blood
Look out Hollywood, here I come
Fun times in Babylon
Momma they've just begun
Before they put me to work in a government camp
Before they do my face up like a corpse and say get up and dance
Before the beast comes looking for last year's rent
I would like to abuse my lungs
Smoke everything in sight with every girl I've ever loved
Ride around my wreckage on a horse knee-deep in mud
Look out Hollywood, here I come
Look out Hollywood, here I come
Look out Hollywood, here I come
That's what I'm counting on
Before the dam goes up at the foot of the sea
Before the new wing of the prison ribbon ceremony
Before the star of the morning comes looking for me
Smoke everything in sight with every girl I've ever loved
Ride around the wreckage on a horse knee-deep in blood
Look out Hollywood, here I come
Momma they've just begun
Before they put me to work in a government camp
Before they do my face up like a corpse and say get up and dance
Before the beast comes looking for last year's rent
Smoke everything in sight with every girl I've ever loved
Ride around my wreckage on a horse knee-deep in mud
Look out Hollywood, here I come
Look out Hollywood, here I come
Look out Hollywood, here I come

I believe what he's trying to say is:
"Oh daddy dear you're still number one, but girls - they wanna have fu-uun, oh girls just wanna have fun."
But seriously, he just wants to get crazy weird before it's too late.
I'm pretty sure he's saying "smoke everything in sight, with every girl I've ever loved"
Just sayin
Yes, and it's "knee-deep in blood," not mud.

Yeah, it's "everything in sight" and "knee-deep in blood". That's how they're written in the lyric sheet. He says them a little more clearly in live performances. I thought it was "inside" and "knee-deep in blood" at first, too.

I think this is a pretty clear post apocalyptic reference and also an eerie type of Illuminati reference. Don't believe me, let's get started and prepare to cross-reference with Google before shooting this down.
a) post-Babylonian references - in the bible (Revelations) it is prophesied that Babylon will rise again and it will be a modern cesspool of moral depravity b) before the "star of the morning" comes looking for me. Again, in the end times, biblically speaking, the "star of the morning" is the antichrist - who is prophesied to emerge and bring on this new age. Lucifer is also referred to as the sun or star of the morning. c) ride around on a horse knee-deep in blood? Need I say more? d) before they put me to work in a government camp - again, I don't even need to explain this but it relates to what many think is the plot of the New World Order or Illuminati e) before "the beast" looks for rent. The beast is a clear-cut reference to Lucifer. f) "Last year's rent" often we see references to celebrities or powerful people giving up their soul or freedom for a position of power or fame to the Illuminati - pray for Father John Misty that he is not referencing himself in this song but rather sarcastically referencing other more prominent celebrities.
