I Am Hell (Sonata in C#) Lyrics
I am death
Arms held outstretched
I am hell
Born this mortal shell
I am wrath
Take this bloodbath
God sent me to kill you
What started out as wonder
The smell of scorched earth
It filled me with a sense of bliss
Inside my head the noises show they thundered
With cracking and hiss
One match
Killed the anguish
One act
Left me fulfilled
Destruction now the only catalyst
To save this soul
From these thoughtless kills
Where once a heart was beating
Nothing but embers glow
Our love it serves as kindling
To stoke this flames inferno
I am hell to thee
Down here all shall suffer with me
Die purified
Rise the ashes to the sky
Obsession born of young lust
Incomprehensible the feelings as they come to pass
But now betrayal slowly turns to bloodlust
Through sulphur and gas
Ignite this crime of passion
Loves pyre is set a blaze
The charred remains of all
Compassion was the spark that lit
Your immolation
Where once a heart was beating
Nothing but embers glow
Our love it serves as kindling
To stoke this flames inferno
I am hell to thee
Down here all shall suffer with me
Die purified
Rise the ashes to the sky
So burn
I'll burn it down
I'll burn you down
So you'll never love again (again)
Where once a heart was beating
Nothing but embers glow
Our love it serves as kindling
To stoke this flames inferno
I am hell to thee
Down here all shall suffer with me
Die purified
In this the ashes of your immolation
I
Am

This track seems to be about the descent of a pyromaniac woman into insanity as she burns everything to comfort the loss of her lover. After losing the love of her life, she can only feel warmth through the fires born of revenge. Consumed by destruction and obsessed with revenge, she masks it by claiming to have been sent by God to kill and that her actions are part of a divine plan. She sees her actions not as acts of violence, but crimes of passion. Sangre Sani, the chorus in the beginning, roughly translates to clean blood, or blood saint; It pertains to her dedication to cleaning the world of the sin that took her love.

The intro to this song is amazing. So aggressive, pumps me right up haha.
a perfect opener, wouldn't change a thing, the song is about a female arsonist who burns/kills out of love, that's what i read on the websight
Phil Demmel commented that that the song consists of "three parts" (I. Sangre Sani / Blood Satin II. I Am Hell & III. Ashes to the Sky) that:
takes "pages out of a pyromaniac's diary, as he's learning and the sickness is taking him over; how it grows him, and how he becomes a murderer and maniac. It’s something we started researching a little bit. We found out that women are actually the most dangerous, because their crimes are, more often than not, crimes of passion. So, he took it from this female perspective."
