I think this song is about a girl being in charge and cheating on her boyfriend. Not exactly sure though. Let me know.

I think this song is about 2 people that are in relationships (not with each other) that have unexpectedly fallen for one another. And while they know it's wrong because they are only going to end up hurting someone, they can't deny what's in front of them!

At least this chase makes you feel new"

I think this verse is saying that they know what their doing is wrong, but what they are feeling makes them feel alive again! It could mean that one or both of them are in a relationship where they don't feel the passion like they used to. And now this new person comes into their life and makes them feel new! Like they are falling in love for the first time!

It's a Gavin oldie but one of my favorites!

The "If god give em all" line is actually "you've counted them all" saying that the person has no more blessings left.

This song is about a married woman who either cheats or is tempted to cheat. Gavin has explained it before but I don't remember exactly what his explanation was.

Also, for the chorus (and this changes the song quite a bit) it goes: "She holds a key tight in her hand clutching his neck she is begging her man"

Still love this song though!

I read an interview where Gavin was talking about this song...

"Listen you sinner I’m sinning too Just wait until the darkness falls so I can sin with you"

that means the girl is cheating on her boyfriend and the guy is cheating on his girlfriend and the only time they can be together is at night when nobodys around or anything. It's actually a terrible concept for a song but Gavin does a great job with that lyrics hahaha He has an amazing talent and I think he needs to get his new cd finished and out already!

But I do love this song and am sure it will be on the next CD. He and his 'people' are crazy not to have this on the next album. Its such a beautiful song:

That is pure poetry. But my favorite line in the song is the first one...

I don't think the song is necessarily about cheating.

There are many parts in the world in which having relationships/dating is not allowed because it is against religion/customs/tradition. Marriages are usuallu more or less arranged to the satisfaction of the parents. In such an environment, the song would apply perfectly because they would both be sinning, going against what they were were brought up to believe and the society they are in.

That last part stresses the need for secrecy as such a relationship between an unmarried couple will never be condoned...it has this underlying note that there is no thrill in sinning, it just is what it is so maybe they've tried being together but for whatever reason, family/social/traditional restrictions, could not.

And there is the ultimate admission that they are 'our' hearts, and hence 'our' call.

I think that this songs is talking about a dude and a gal that are screwing, lol, and at least one of them is in another relationship with their bf or gf and they're both sinning because neither of them should be having sex before marriage. It's a really messed up situation. It seems like they want each other because they can't have each other. And I love the chorus when he's like: "She holds the key tight in her hand Clutching his neck she is breaking the man" This is where you know what kind of relations that they're having when no one is looking.

i think the song can be about cheating. but i think its always like the couple just can't be together, theres something that is holding them back from being truely together so they have to do it durin the darkness so they wont be caught.
