Prayer of St. Francis Lyrics

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace
Where there is hatred, let me sow love
Where there is injury, pardon
Where there is doubt, faith
Where there is despair, hope
Where there is darkness, light
And where there is sadness, joy

O Divine Master, grant that I may
Not so much seek to be consoled as to console
To be understood, as to understand
To be loved, as to love
For it is in giving that we receive
And it's in pardoning that we are pardoned
And it's in dying that we are born to Eternal Life
Amen

We sang a version of this song in our highschool chamber choir.. and it took my breath away! It's so beautiful that Sarah... and musicians can take something so touching that's already in the world.. and spread to it everyone by song. i'm an inspiring singer myself... and to put all of your emotion into a song is HARD.. but Sarah does an AWESOME job at it.. as you can hear in this song!!!! AMAZING!!

This song is absolute perfection. I'm not religious but this prayer has been with me from a very young age, and by her putting it in song gives me a way to listen to it whenever. She's amazing.
