I'm listening to this song right now. I'm mad I'm just discovering its genius.
This song is about a girl telling her guy that they made each other promises to see flowers around the world, but she's stuck (and maybe he is, too) looking at the simple ones outside of her window. I'm pretty sure it's not REALLY about the flowers and more about them making plans to do things and not seeing them through.
