I feel that this song is about a girl who's father hasn't been in her life/by her side and she has found a fella and she isn't sure how to handle a real because she hasn't had a male counterpart to help in what she needs in a man, he (her lover/boyfriend) is trying his best to keep her but is finding it hard to not go crazy
