Better Days Lyrics
What are you hiding from?
You are part of the sum
What has been going on?
Your confidence is gone
You have seen better days
You have lived better ways
What are you waiting for?
Answers that question more
Uninvited they will come
Are you expecting some?
You have seen better days
You have lived better ways
Only time will tell
What will come of you
Only crime could sell
What you're trying to
Were are you heading to?
What plans will you pull through?
With trouble in the wings
Will you risk anything?
You have seen better days
You have lived better ways
You are part of the sum
What has been going on?
Your confidence is gone
You have lived better ways
Answers that question more
Uninvited they will come
Are you expecting some?
You have lived better ways
What will come of you
Only crime could sell
What you're trying to
What plans will you pull through?
With trouble in the wings
Will you risk anything?
You have lived better ways

It’s crazy that this song is actually so underrated. But I think it’s about someone running away after committing crimes (maybe also dealing with stuff), afraid getting found and caught by the police. „Uninvited they will come“, the police coming after the person, without any warning. „With trouble in the wings. Will you risk anything?“, in interpretation of having troubles to actually find a good hideout and a place to live, risking everything in committing crimes. „You have seen better days, you have lived better ways.“, obviously that person lived healthier but fell into consuming drugs and other addictive things, the person getting tired of their life. So they do illegal stuff to get „action“ and „fun“ and now having to live with the result that it was a bad idea and now trying to get out of it, running away from the police.
