This song is SO beautifully written I can't even believe it. Every phrase is worthy of praise and is timeless on it's own.
This song is totally about him wanting this girl who just wants someone else to pay for her expensive lifestyle and not really caring about who it is. He just wants her really bad.

wow. The lone, western-esque guitar right before the 'jewels and stones...' part of the song is amazing. Whole new beat, almost an entirely different song after that. I think it goes hand in hand with the first part of the song being lustful and generic. The second part of the song is melancholy and painfully honest in the fact that he is analyzing her and realizes it will never work, even though he feels like he could die for her.

vampirism is a sort of seduction...a robbery. the vampire is taking away something.. maybe the girl IS the vampire taking his lifeforce. And he's just so seduced by her he doesnt care...?
I actually get that maybe this girl is used to dating shallow guys, with no real substance, a guy who will really love her, and this guy thinks he can be that for her but she's kinda looking him over. I don't know that's just how I see it.
