This song is about the love that the singer feels coming from God, our Lord and Saviour.

I cannot forgive, what I cannot forget That day you took that shovel to my chest

Here, he is expressing how difficult it is to forgive the harm that others have done to us, but beginning to accept the Lord into his heart. The shovel represents the Lord's unending love for us all.

You represent a time and place that I wish to forget, dead. Next time I see you, you're dead.

He is expressing the pain of past events, and happiness that the One True God has saved his soul. He wants to forget and leave behind his sinful atheistic days.

Don't even bother to waste your time to make amends. You don't deserve a place in my life ever again.

Here, he is telling his former atheistic self that he has moved on. Satan no longer has a hold on him, and never will again. The Lamb of God has healed him. Rejoice!
