Remember one time I bit you on the arm
I'm just afraid of solitude of being alone
I want to be at your house right now
Make you stand by the sink
I swear to keep awake

I can show you things like fire and more
Remember the time I kicked the TV over

For months, I'm sharing lungs
I can't talk to her
'Cause she'll throw rocks at me

I might never see you again
I hope we fix and stay special 'cause still
I ain't tryin' to start a fight
But now, I only, I could pull you in for a moment
I know this

That's so sweet
Battle stations, please guard us
Marry me, but don't lean on me
'Cause I'll fuck you till the morning
So stay

Gone

For months, I'm sharing lungs
I can't talk to her
'Cause she'll throw rocks at me

I'll be screaming and all besides
And ? listening
You'll know, she knows by now you don't clap
When it comes to my music
?

My lungs are in the top drawer
By now I've got a lover inside of me
As long as we sleep right now
As long as we sleep right now

For months, I'm sharing lungs
Now I can't talk to her
'Cause she'll throw rocks at me
She'll throw rocks at me

For months, I'm sharing lungs
I can't talk to her
'Cause she'll throw rocks at me

That's crazy that this is an out take from "Be Quiet And Drive" which is probly why it kicks major ass.

If you listen really close, after he says "As long as we sleep at night" for the second time, he says, "Goodnight".

how has no one not commented on this? or viewed it even! this is the bside to the UKsingle "change(in the house of flies)" and it fucking rocks. the melody just kicks. it's about obsession with rejection. anyways, that's what i think...

I completely agree with xpankfrisst's remark. However, I would like to ellaborate a bit more on it.

Yeah, it's about an obsession with rejection, but more on the girl who gives it to him. He obviously had to have a relationship with this girl, and no matter how much he wants to fix this, she refuses. Perhaps they still maintain a sexual relationship, ie. friends with benifits, but she doesn't show any more interest in that anymore. The chorus: For month's I'm sharing lungs I can't talk to her Cause she'll throw rocks at me Perhaps pertains to him having to agree with her, because he doesn't want to risk a chance in ruining it again, so his voice is silenced out by hers. If he speaks his mind, he will only be ridaculed and hurt in the end. But he wants to be with her, so either way really, this guy is screwed.

Chino, if I ever find this girl, I'll dispose of her for you. Deftones are the greatest band as far as lyrics and rhythm go.

first may i begin with that i love this song. I think its about how he's in love and he wants to make it work but the stress of keeping up w/ a relationship plus the love for his music notice that She knows that look when it comes to my music he just wants to make it all ok but she wont let whatever they are fighting about go. i love deftones, i love chino moreno

from another web site: From the linear notes, drummer Abe Cunningham: "This was the last song we recorded for the Around The Fur sessions. At the time, an experiment in sound and texture for us complete with nasty, sloppy hi-hats. The original title came to us while on tour many moons ago. We used to always borrow our friend's truck, it was our touring vessel, complete with camper shell, trailer, a plethora of beer, and many, many full piss bottles. One strange night we pulled over at a liquor store on Crenshaw Boulevard; tired of beer, we all came out with giant jugs of cheap-ass wine, which we soon dubbed 'Crenshaw Punch.'"

Fortnight
Taylor Swift
The song 'Fortnight' by Taylor Swift and Post Malone tells a story about strong feelings, complicated relationships, and secret wishes. It talks about love, betrayal, and wanting someone who doesn't feel the same. The word 'fortnight' shows short-lived happiness and guilty pleasures, leading to sadness. It shows how messy relationships can be and the results of hiding emotions. “I was supposed to be sent away / But they forgot to come and get me,” she kickstarts the song in the first verse with lines suggesting an admission to a hospital for people with mental illnesses. She goes in the verse admitting her lover is the reason why she is like this. In the chorus, she sings about their time in love and reflects on how he has now settled with someone else. “I took the miracle move-on drug, the effects were temporary / And I love you, it’s ruining my life,” on the second verse she details her struggles to forget about him and the negative effects of her failure. “Thought of callin’ ya, but you won’t pick up / ‘Nother fortnight lost in America,” Post Malone sings in the outro.

I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.
