Where Did You Sleep Last Night? [Acoustic][#] Lyrics

My girl, my girl, don't lie to me
Tell me where did you sleep last night?
In the pines, in the pines
Where the sun don't ever shine
I would shiver the whole night through

My girl, my girl, where will you go?
I'm going where the cold wind blows
In the pines, in the pines
Where the sun don't ever shine
I would shiver the whole night through

Her husband was a hard working man
Just about a mile from here
His head was found in a driving wheel
But his body never was found

My girl, my girl, don't lie to me
Tell me where did you sleep last night?
In the pines, in the pines
Where the sun don't ever shine
I would shiver the whole night through

My girl, my girl, where will you go?
I'm going where the cold wind blows
In the pines, in the pines
Where the sun don't ever shine
I would shiver the whole night through

My girl, my girl, don't lie to me
Tell me where did you sleep last night?
In the pines, in the pines
Where the sun don't ever shine
I would shiver the whole night through

My girl, my girl, where will you go
I'm going where the cold wind blows
In the pines, the pines
The sun don't shine
I'd shiver the whole night through

Thank you

Cover art for Where Did You Sleep Last Night? [Acoustic][#] lyrics by Nirvana

I think that in the song there was a guy that was found dead. People are suspecting that his wife (The girl) is the one that killed him. Basically I think this song is an interrogation. "My girl, my girl tell me where you did you sleep last night?" - Asking her where she slept. "Her husband was a hardworking man just about a mile from here. His head was found in the driveway but his body never was found." - This lyric is the main reason why I think this song is an interrogation.
