Matt says this is a "first take" cut. The song was written about the end of his relationship with a previous girlfriend. Upon finishing the first recording, he asked the producer to let him record it again, thinking he could do a better job. The producer told him "You may be able to sing it better, but you'll never feel it better". The first take made the album.
