Fix what’s wrong, but don’t rewrite what the artist wrote. Stick to the official released version — album booklet, label site, verified lyric video, etc. If you’re guessing, pause and double-check.
Respect the structure
Songs have rhythm. Pages do too. Leave line breaks where they belong. Don’t smash things together or add extra empty space just for looks.
Punctuation counts (but vibe-editing doesn’t)
Correct typos? Yes. Re-punctuating a whole verse because it ‘looks better’? Probably not. Keep capitalization and punctuation close to the official source.
Don’t mix versions
If you’re editing the explicit version, keep it explicit. If it’s the clean version, keep it clean. No mashups.
Let the lyrics be lyrics
This isn’t the place for interpretations, memories, stories, or trivia — that’s what comments are for. Keep metadata, translations, and bracketed stage directions out unless they’re officially part of the song.
Edit lightly
If two lines are wrong… fix the two lines. No need to bulldoze the whole page. Think ‘surgical,’ not ‘remix.’
When in doubt, ask the crowd
Not sure what they’re singing in that fuzzy bridge? Drop a question in the comments and let the music nerds swarm. Someone always knows.
this is the utmost depressed, almost crazy part of a breakup. Not understanding what was wrong, not knowing it was going to happen, then realizing that it's done and over and that perhaps he's just not good enough.
wow i havnt heard this yet and i was just reading it and pretty simalar things are happening today(monday) but im the one doing the breaking...i feel horrible....
this song is far from annoying. Its beautiful. the repetition really makes you feel it. definitely about breaking up.. or someone like a lover leaving the life of someone that has grown to need them. I know from experience you dont have to be in a relationship to love someone enough for it to hurt when they leave. Sometimes its worse.
I listened to this while driving a long distance tonight, over and over again. I felt this song as of pain and desperation in a relationship. It seemes almost like Damien's very own "I want you(she's so heavy)" off a certain British group's last album many years ago. It's very hypnotic and I felt pulled back to the time when I split from my wife of many years. That was nearly four years ago. I feel this song, really feel it.
this song is annoying, and i LOVE damien rice.
the sound he makes in the back of his throat when he says "moody" the second time...ugh. obnoxious. he sounds like a damn owl.
no wonder it has 2 comments.
