Window of My Eyes Lyrics
Through the window of my eyes
I can see a rainy day
Sittin' in the chair of my own
Looking for a way to be the one who I am
It's useless to cry for the things I was unknown
Thinking it will come back and reach my home
It's like a distant, like a distant face
It's like a shadow on my wall
Something that, that I can't touch
It's heavenly, as it calls
Shelter of my mind hides my love and my tear
I keep on looking for a reason which is not here
Through the window of my eyes
I can see a rainy day
Sittin' in the chair of my own
Looking for a way to be the one who I am
It's useless to cry for the things I was unknown
Thinking it will come back and reach my home
I can see a rainy day
Sittin' in the chair of my own
Looking for a way to be the one who I am
It's useless to cry for the things I was unknown
Thinking it will come back and reach my home
It's like a shadow on my wall
Something that, that I can't touch
It's heavenly, as it calls
I keep on looking for a reason which is not here
I can see a rainy day
Sittin' in the chair of my own
Looking for a way to be the one who I am
It's useless to cry for the things I was unknown
Thinking it will come back and reach my home

It's seems to be about not knowing your goal/purpose in life. Feeling like you are not the person you ought to be. Being stuck and waiting for something...
Ironically I've been going through an existential crisis of sorts lately of searching for my life's goal or purpose. Then I heard this song for the first time played at the of the movie The American with George Clooney & thought it was beautiful & sorrowful w/out knowing the lyrics. I watched the credits & found it. I searched for it on the internet, as well as the lyrics & lo behold, thought the exact same thing about it's meaning as you. On my end, I took it as a vague omen that I'm not alone in my struggle.
