He's talking about how he doesn't really feel good unless he's out partying with the crowd at a bar. He doesn't really like being the center of attention or performing on stage, because that's more like work.
He doesn't want to be treated like a voice on the radio or some celebrity. It feels more real to smoke some weed, maybe do some other stuff and be just like everybody else. He likes to think these are all his friends and we're all alike.
He says, "You spent your money to see me tonight. I spent all mine getting stoned." He is saying that we've both spent our money entertaining ourselves, so that makes him feel like we're all in this together, so "I'll leave here knowing, we're two of a kind," means he feels like one of the crowd he's singing to, and that makes him happy. "You'll leave here knowing my name." You just want to hear some good music and watch a performance. You don't know the affect all this has.
When he talks about living a lie, he means that people hide their feelings when they feel bad and try to escape through partying. He's tired of doing that, so he just wants to come out and say it, "I'm lonely and have a bunch of bad memories on my mind, so I want to find a good party and some enjoyable substances to get them off of it.
