I used to like a bit of INXS back in the day. I've been listening to the solo album by Michael today, (May 2012), which this track 'Breathe' is taken from. I'd guess, some of the songs on the album were clearly not finished for sadly obvious reasons, and were works in progress. This song was probably due a couple of variations or different ones on the repetative verses. Anyway, with that said, I like the underlying darkness to the song, particularly the opening. Some simple but effective poetry in the opening two verses, which actually is not what you might expect I feel anyway from the tune. Sure its been thought and said many times before, but a real shame this album was never finished properly, and we didn't see more later as well. Overall, I reckon, you can feel the emotion in these songs, finished or not.
