I know the long-missed answer to What is Trash in the Sugar Shack song. I grew up in the era. Trash means COLOGNE. Young men were ridiculed if they used cologne. Therefore, using the word TRASH socially downplayed the use of cologne by calling it TRASH. I used to put on trash...High Karate! And I wore PINK SHIRTS too.
