This song is about a love that went wrong. The girl seems to only feel her pain but then she "Discovers" or has an epiphany that while she was only feeling her pain what they had in common was they were both hurt by the heartache.
She reminiscing on the love that they shared, and realizes that although they have their differences she is willing to make amends with him. She notices that she has cause him great pain, and now she is apologizing hoping that they can go back to how things were before they began hurting each other.
She talks about how she made the wrong choice, and that he was right. So it seems she saw what she did wrong to him, and now wants to correct it. It seems the guy is mad, and is planning on walking out on her life, and she wants to make things right before he does so. Whether or not he chooses to stay with her, she will accept it.
