It isn't hard just from reading through the lyrics what this song is about and why many including I strongly relate to. Many of us dream and have a goal that we are so passionate about and spend a majority of our lives trying to obtain. As the years go by and we face many setbacks and rejections we begin to despair and muse whether our dream will ever come true or we should just give up. We feel life doesn't want us to succeed and is telling us to give up, but deep down inside we find strength and a glimmer of hope that tells us to push on and go get our dream, no matter how big the obstacle or the time it takes, we will succeed.
I should know this because I spent my entire 20's and 30's trying to accomplish my dream (I'm currently 39 years old) and it was only this year on the 17th of September did I finally achieve my dream. Now I can live the rest of my life and die happy knowing I achieved my dream.
This song deserves more recognition and appreciation, because it's an inspiration to those who have big dreams but have lingering doubts about succeeding. It gives them the message that you must never give up if you are that serious about your dream and it means so much to you. Good luck!
