Snap Your Fingers, Snap Your Neck Lyrics
Nothing breeds more contempt for this world
Than memories now formed
Every moment a new seed
Is grown to no reason the trouble unfolds
For the trials of today
I'm no jury really don't care how you feel
The pleasant notion of miraculous change
Drifts into multiple jeers, jeers, jeers
You want the good life, you break your back
You snap your fingers, you snap your neck
Seconds drip through my hands
Washed of moments unborn
All the spaces between bleed
A tribute to a sacrament never exposed
A message to the forces
I've no pity don't know how thankful to feel
Expectations of my daily bread
Gives me the hunger to steal
You want the good life, you break your back
You snap your fingers, you snap your neck
You want the good life, you break your back
You snap your fingers, you snap your neck
You want the good life, you break your back
You snap your fingers, you snap your neck
You want the good life, you break your back
You snap your fingers, you snap your neck
Snap your fingers, snap your neck
Snap your fingers, snap your neck
Snap your fingers, snap your neck
Snap your fingers, snap your neck
Than memories now formed
Every moment a new seed
Is grown to no reason the trouble unfolds
I'm no jury really don't care how you feel
The pleasant notion of miraculous change
Drifts into multiple jeers, jeers, jeers
You snap your fingers, you snap your neck
Washed of moments unborn
All the spaces between bleed
A tribute to a sacrament never exposed
I've no pity don't know how thankful to feel
Expectations of my daily bread
Gives me the hunger to steal
You snap your fingers, you snap your neck
You want the good life, you break your back
You snap your fingers, you snap your neck
You snap your fingers, you snap your neck
You want the good life, you break your back
You snap your fingers, you snap your neck
Snap your fingers, snap your neck
Snap your fingers, snap your neck
Snap your fingers, snap your neck

A great song about how "breaking your back" from working hard because "you want the good life" can backfire and just as quick as you can "snap your fingers" life has passed you by and you're dead from overdoing it.
My .02 cents.
@GunKing that's my take as well. "Seconds drip through my hands" every day as I work a job that I would have ridiculed earlier in life. I always liked the feel of this song, but years later it's one that reminds me to find perspective and to never settle into a bullshit way of getting by.

Not Just the Greatest, Not Just the Best, but Justin Credible!
to me it's about how life is a like an act of juggling...so easy to drop the ball, and completely fuck yourself.
as easy to snap your fingers as snap your neck. spend years working your way to the top and fall in an instant.
Industrial metal classic !
Btw, nice wordplay delvic19, not sure if many people remember the wrestler though. Lol.
The basic premise is that no matter what, the system is gonna fuck you. You get no where being a slave to society, and working for a living. You commit a crime, and you're branded a criminal for life, with no choice, but commit crimes to stay alive. The part about the sacrament never exposed refers to the moment one steps beyond the law and feels true freedom from the chains of society, and takes back what is rightfully theirs.
This is like the ultimate example of having as much fun as anyone could while dying inside haha I remember when this was released it was a bomb drop and we would rock out to it and scream and jump. Yet we were living the pointless dark reality he's talking about, and didn't know it. They were shit days and I dont want them back even if it came with my youth... well... nah stuff that. I can still get the elevated feeling 28 years later though... AAHHHHHHHHHHHHHGHHahaha I suppose as mature wordly wise oldboys now we can also point at the teeny tiny clue he leaves in the lyrics, the "sacrament never exposed" does exist, and we can sort of continue to enjoy it with the same enthusiasm, sort of, maybe, just for minute.
I love love this song!!!! But correct me if I'm wrong isn't the band members from this group or the same as demon hunter and ministry? I'm pretty sure but either way the Rock!!! :)
Sadly, I think i like Demon Hunter's cover of this song (Prong needed to get more aggressive with the vocals)
This is really sad since as a band Demon Hunter sucks and Prong is awesome...oh well.
