Eight Thirty Blues Lyrics
It's eight-thirty now, I'm still waiting for you
I wonder where you can be
You promised to come home but now I'm all alone
And I've got those eight thirty blues
You better stop your rambling and your rowdy ways
Or else I won't be waiting for you
But if you won't listen, just do as you please
I won't have those eight thirty blues
It's eight thirty now but you don't seem to care
How long I've waited for you
Sweetheart when you get home you'll find you're all alone
Then you'll have those eight thirty blues
I wonder where you can be
You promised to come home but now I'm all alone
And I've got those eight thirty blues
Or else I won't be waiting for you
But if you won't listen, just do as you please
I won't have those eight thirty blues
How long I've waited for you
Sweetheart when you get home you'll find you're all alone
Then you'll have those eight thirty blues

The Song Eight Thirty Blues was written by Lester Lee (Blackie) Blackwell. As related to my Mother by Blackie, the songs lyrics were "You better stop your rambling and YOUR ROUDY WAYS. According to my mother, who is still alive, in order for Blackie to get the song promoted, he had to give credit to Jimmie Wakley, who came out with the song.
