I've been the one to say something stupid too early and too often ruined my chances. My current GF stopped me as I was again about to say something stupid too early. We've been together now almost four years and yes she did fall in love with me.
This song is about being in psychotherapy and falling for your therapist. It's how you think you love someone where you shouldnt, but those things happen naturally in these settings. It's like being one of her clients and waiting in line to get seen, then knowing she's at work and she hears same crap every evening from her other clients. Prepping for therapy and then looking for words to confess and regretting it afterwards. Haha, doubt anyone will agree on this.
