Sweet Caroline (Neil Diamond cover) Lyrics
Where it began , I can't begin to knowing
But then I know it's growing strong
Was in the spring
Then spring became the summer
Who'd have believed you'd come along
Hands , touching hands
Reaching out , touching me , touching you
Sweet Caroline
Good times never seemed so good
I'd be inclined
To believe they never would
So good , so good
Look at the night and it don't seem so lonely
We filled it up with only two
And when I hurt
Hurting runs off my shoulder
How can I hurt when I'm holding you ?
One , touching one
Reaching out , touching me touching you
Sweet Caroline
Good times never seemed so good
I'd be inclined
To believe they never would
So good , so good
Sweet Caroline
Good times never seemed so good
But then I know it's growing strong
Was in the spring
Then spring became the summer
Who'd have believed you'd come along
Hands , touching hands
Reaching out , touching me , touching you
Good times never seemed so good
I'd be inclined
To believe they never would
So good , so good
We filled it up with only two
And when I hurt
Hurting runs off my shoulder
How can I hurt when I'm holding you ?
One , touching one
Reaching out , touching me touching you
Good times never seemed so good
I'd be inclined
To believe they never would
So good , so good
Good times never seemed so good

This gorgeous song was written by Neil Diamond. And Elvis made it sound his own as always! He was a fab singer and performer! I remember growing up hearing Elvis around the house as my older brothers loved him. I only got to like Elvis in my early 20's when I discovered his gospel songs. I always found his songs and voice fun and pleasant, but I felt I discovered a new Elvis when I first heard his gospel songs, perhaps an Elvis I recognised more. In many artists I get confused, because I rarely get to feel who they really are when on stage.... I have to see them in interviews to get the real feeling of who they are. I like to feel people's spirits, that's something maybe odd in me, but that's how I can connect with people. If I don't, I move on.
PS: Not that Elvis would care what I think! ;)
