American Daydream Lyrics
[Chorus]
We keep going, don't stop running
They keep selling, we don't want it
So close to it almost found a way
Two steps closer, they keep coming
We keep yelling, we don't want it
Almost better, this things about to break
Why don't you make yourself available
In fact she told me that she wanted it free
It's easy
Oh no in love I'm just an animal
You said you want me but you want me when ya
You want me but you want me when you're in need
Until the end, because
We keep going, don't stop running
They keep selling, we don't want it
So close to it almost found a way
Two steps closer, they keep coming
We keep yelling, we don't want it
Almost better, this things about to break
After it all it's still repairable
I know that I forgot my history
It's easy
Let's wave goodbye to all the terrible
I know there's a million things we could be
If we could only dole it out and agree
Until the end because
We keep going, don't stop running
They keep selling, we don't want it
So close to it almost found a way
Two steps closer, they keep coming
We keep yelling, we don't want it
Almost better, this things about to break
Oh it was a holiday
I always play and never work
But they sell us all the bait
The western way
I go berserk I go
We keep going, don't stop running
They keep selling, we don't want it
So close to it almost found a way
Two steps closer, they keep coming
We keep yelling, we don't want it
Almost better, this things about to break
In fact she told me that she wanted it free
It's easy
You said you want me but you want me when ya
You want me but you want me when you're in need
Until the end, because

Some small corrections:
'Almost fed-up' instead of 'Almost better' 'After it all, it's still reparable/I know that I've forgotten my history' instead of 'After it all, it's still repairable/I know, that I forgot my history.' 'Let's wave goodbye to all the terrible' instead of 'Let's wake about are all that terrible.' 'If we could only dole it out and agree' instead of 'If we could only, don't need doubt and agree.' 'But they sell us all the bait/The western way, I go berserk, I go' instead of 'But they sell us all the bathe/And it's the way I go berserk I know.'
You might add in the 'go, go, go...''s at the end if you like, but that's not so important. Other than those few, tricky bits, well transcribed!
Thanks a lot, they sound much better now. Some of the old phrases didn't even make sense. Could you also check out the lyrics to their other song: Troubleman? Just to make sure it's ok. (also, I even like the other song better than this one)

I feel like he's comparing a relationship to the "western way" where the girl wants it for free, a relationship without putting in the actual work. I'm probably mistaken though that's my interpretation.
I've been looking like mad for more information and music by the band. I only have three songs, but I'm absolutely in love with the three!
They have a new song "Jenny" now. It's really good as well

I think this may have something to do with the American Dream of starting from nothing and working your way into a fortune. I keep thinking of the Great Gatsby.
