Bones Lyrics
Down under the night sky
I lay and wait
Praying to whoever
Will listen to me
I fashioned my own cross
Been been by its weight
There's no stronger message
Than dirt in your face
I've seen down the end of the road
I deal in a different story
Oh, I will never let go again
I feel it in my bones (bones)
Bones (bones)
I feel it in my bones (bones)
Bones (bones)
I'll do this on my own
Oh oh oh-oh bones bones oh
They say the spirit's willing
But the flesh is always weak
I found everything I needed
Right beneath my skin, oh
I've seen down the end of the road
I deal in a different story
Oh, I will never let go again
I feel it in my bones (bones)
Bones (bones)
I feel it in my bones (bones)
Bones (bones)
I'll do this on my own
We're all architects of our own private hell
No one can hurt us like we hurt ourselves
I've seen down the end of the road
I deal in a different story
Oh, I will never let go again
I feel it in my bones (bones)
Bones (bones)
I feel it in my bones (bones)
Bones (bones)
I know I'm not alone
Oh oh oh-oh bones bones oh
I lay and wait
Praying to whoever
Will listen to me
I fashioned my own cross
Been been by its weight
There's no stronger message
Than dirt in your face
I deal in a different story
Oh, I will never let go again
I feel it in my bones (bones)

'We're all No one can hurt us like we hurt ourselves'
Should be...
'We're all architects of our own pride and health'
AND
'I founded my own cross'
should be...
'I fashioned my own cross' :)
And...
When thin spirit swelling My poor flesh is always weak
should be
'They say the spirit's willing But the flesh is always weak'
"There's no darker message Than turning your face"
is actually
"There's no stronger message than dirt in your face"
"I'll see you down the end of the road" = "I've seen down the end of the road"
and it's "We're all architects of our own private Hell"
"I've founded my own cross" should be "I've fashioned my own cross"
"Been clutched by its weight" --> "Been crushed by its weight"
"There's no darker message, than turning your face" --> "There's no stronger message than dirt in your face."
"I'll see you down the end of the road" --> "I've seen down the end of the road"
OK well, I need to correct the lyrics first: "I fashioned my own cross, been crushed by its weight. There's no stronger message than dirt in your face. I see down the end of the road, I'll tell a different story.... They say the spirit's willing but the flesh is always weak... We're all architects of our own private Hell..." Got that down? Ok. Sorry it was bothering me. Anyway, I believe this song is simply just about finding spiritual enlightenment. The singer has found who he is inside and has found his own beliefs by going through the ringer. And he can feel his soul becoming one with his mind or God whatever. He can feel it in his bones. And he'll go about life on his own
