Grant says in an interview on YouTube that the guy he is talking about in this song is the same guy he sings about in TC and Honeybear. It is sad because all his love affairs seem to end up badly.
forgot to mention, they both know that they love each other but they never managed to express it
It touches my heart, I feel they both love each other so deeply, but for no undenstandeble reason they chose not to be together, though probably their love is irrepetible, this one person makes everything possible to push the other away (he/ she really doesnt want to do that) and although this other person neither wants to walk away he/she does it
So sad that the mind is capable of doing that :(
