The President Lyrics

I wrote a letter to the president when I was a kid
He said a little goes a long, long way, but it never did
And every politician knows the value of a well-placed lie
So when you ask me what it's like to be me, I say it's an easy life

Where do I go from here?
Where do I go from here?

I wrote a letter to the president when I was a kid
He said a little goes a long, long way, but it never did
And every politician knows the value of a well-placed lie
So when you ask me what it's like to be me, I say it's an easy life

Where do I go from here?
Where do I go from here?

So come on now, everybody lay low
If you feel it, feel it in slow motion
Everybody knows, everybody knows

So come on now, everybody lay low
If you feel it, feel it in slow motion
Everybody knows, everybody knows

So come on now, everybody lay low
If you feel it, feel it in slow motion
Everybody knows, everybody knows

So come on now, everybody lay low
If you feel it, feel it in slow motion
Everybody knows, everybody knows

Where do I go from here?
Where do I go from here?
If you feel it
Where do I go from here?

I think it's about the feelings of being lost and aimless after finding out about fundamental untruths. What I mean by fundamental untruths as in things that you've always believed to be true that turn out to be not true.

My Interpretation

@kjibr What I mean by fundamental untruths are things that you've always believed to be true that turn out to be not true.*
