i think this song is about a long relationship with two young people (long for young people). it has been going on for a while, and they think they have already found the one. this is a problem these young lovers are 16 and they are not even out of high school yet. they know that college is in the near future and they worry about what will happen then. this song is telling the other person in the relationship to stop worrying about the future, that they are still young and they should just live in the moment "you stay with me we never grow up my love".
