'You say things with your mouth Cobwebs and flies come out' i think is showing how a person is lying about something, and based on twenty one pilots' other song meanings i would guess they're lies about how the person is feeling to do with suicidal thoughts and depression.

'They will not take you down They will not cast you out.' i believe this is tyler assuring the person who lies about their feelings that if they tell someone about their issues, people wont think they're weird or horrible as they may believe they are.
'Dear friend Here we are again pretending To understand how you think your world is ending, Sending signals and red flags in waves,' i think this part is referring to when you do open up to someone about your suicidal thoughts etc that people try to help and understand but they cant.
'It's hard to tell the difference between blood and water these days,' to me this part is saying how friends can be there for you and understand you and your problems more than family.
'I'll pray that one day you see, The only difference between life and dying, Is one is trying, That's all we're called to do, So try to love me and I'll try to save you.' this part is him saying that we were put on the earth to live and to commit suicide would be unnecessary.
'Won't you stay alive, I'll take you on a ride, I will make you believe you are lovely.' this part i think is tyler saying that if choose to die you'll miss out on all the good things in life that make you feel happy and good about yourself.
'Your redemption won't grow stale,' i think this may be a reference to god. tyler is saying that he will always be there to help you.

this is just my interpretation and its probably really stupid but i saw there were no other comments on this song and was disappointed so i added this so no one else would be.

I think this song is about a depressed girl and Tyler is her best friend trying to help her.
"You say things with your mouth, cobwebs and flies come out, I hear a second voice behind your tongue somehow, luckily I can read your mind, flies and cobwebs unwind" Everything she says is clichéd and hides what she really means. Luckily, he knows her well enough to know what she really means. She's afraid of people not liking her for who she really is.
"Dear friend here we are again pretending to understand how you think your world is ending" He doesn't really get it, which is typical for a boy in love with a girl, like not seeing her faults. Same goes for best friends I guess.
"Sending signals with red flags and waves, it's hard to tell the difference between blood and water these days" She's been trying to tell people how she feels, but they don't understand what she's trying to say. Both her family (blood) and her friends (water) are acting the same.
"I pray that one day you'll see, the only difference between life and dying is one is trying, that's all we're called to do, so try to love me and I'll try to save you. " This part is confusing. He loves her, and maybe he hopes that her loving him will pull her out of her depression. I think it also just helps the stage for the chorus:

He's trying to convince her not to commit suicide, so he says, "Come on, let's go for a drive, (like Sally and Lightning in the movie Cars) I will tell you why I love you, why you need to stay alive, I will show you how you are lovely."
"Your redemption won't grow stale, we are now just setting sail, on the seas of what we fear" I took this to be that she's a new Christian and struggling in her faith along with her insecurity. He's saying that God won't give up on her, and that He will be there with her in her fears.
"Sweet, I'm coming clean, God hit me straight on, don't be gone" He's confessing something, maybe that he saw what she was saying earlier and feels guilty for not doing anything earlier? Then he says that God was the one Who reveiled her depression to him. He hopes he's not too late to save her.
That's just my opinion; you'd have to ask Mr. Tyler Joseph for the real meaning behind it.
I think it just about helping your friend with there depression. He even asks go for help in the second part of the song
I personally think it is someone just being lied to and then getting depressed after MAYBE a breakup with someone who only lied?!!?!?

my more cynical take: the singer likes to sleep with suicidal girls.... though kinda wishes they'd stop talking sometimes.
how i choose to take it instead: the singer is offering to help you have some fun in exchange for sticking around a little longer..... which is nice.... if you're gonna insist i stick around and not kill myself the least you can do is provide something to make the time i'm trapped here in this life be at least a little enjoyable for a little bit.... way better than the lie that it'll get better.... because i'm still mad at everybody who convinced me that it would get better.... it's only gotten worse. 30 years of suicidal ideation isn't worth sticking around for....... it just isn't.... and nothing in the next 30+ years could ever make up for the last..... but drugs do help pass the time.... they make me feel lovely. so i guess for me the singer is weed.... weed is singing that if i stick around it'll keep me high and then i'll feel lovely.
so yeah... this song is about how recreational drugs have kept me alive for better or worse.... at least when i'm high i can feel lovely..... not sure if that's a life worth living but i guess i'm still here. spouting cobwebs out my mouth.
This is my favorite song by this artist. It reminds me of my wife of 30 years. How she is courageous and inspiring because she embraces the struggle with other souls and leads them through the darkness like the lyrics describe.
