We All Go Back To Where We Belong Lyrics

I dreamed what what you were offering
Imagine lying next to me
Your shirt, and your reputation, tossed
I will write our story in my mind
Write about our dreams and triumphs
This might be my innocence, lost
I can taste the ocean on your skin
And that is where it all begins
I dreamed that we were elephants
Out of sight, clouds of dust
I woke up thinking we were free

Oh oh oh
I can taste the ocean on your skin
And that is where it all begins
We all go back to where we belong
We all go back to where we belong
Is this really what you want?
Is this really what you want?

I can taste the ocean on your skin
And that is where it all begins
We all go back to where we belong
We all go back to where we belong
Is this really what you want?
Is this really what you want?

Very fitting as their final single - it's a nice coda to one of the greatest bands of all time. Oh, and if anyone could figure out those lyrics I couldn't hear, that'd be great.

Weird, apparently "We are not authorized to display these lyrics." It's not like it's a leak or anything, it was in Rolling Stone.

I believe it's about being in a dream state and finding we belong there (free) instead of in the real word where we go through the motions, but I could be wrong (and usually am). It sounds peaceful.
