Yep its about never giving up, no matter what you face or have faced in the past and about not not doing things because you're afraid you will fail, you only get one life so live with no regrets and do what you aspire to do and let nothing alter or stop you on that path. It's a very inspirational song.
Definitely about never giving up. Also, on a personal thought, this song reminds me a lot at the game Dark Souls. The lyrics fit so much with the game.
