I think this is, at a basic level, about escaping the world with music. The artist sings of music building "a little fire where it's cold". He want's to escape from the difficulties and stresses of life by listening to music and living "in a dream" in his "record machine".
What hopeful lyrics! And the tune us fantastic... and the way it ends on stop the clocks, amazing!! The whole album is a classic!
I love this song, it's very uplifting, reminds me just of happiness and experiencing life. I especially like the part, "I wanna piece of the world and you can't make me spit it out."
