New Way To Bleed Lyrics
Save your twisted enemy,
So you might earn forgiveness.
You know your whole world is waiting,
So why can't you speak?
I feel it coming over me,
I'm still a slave to these dreams.
Is this the end of everything,
Or just a new way to bleed?
So go and tell all your friends
That I'm a failure underneath
If it makes you feel like a bigger man.
But it's my, my heart, my life,
That you're calling a lie.
I've played this game before,
And I can't take anymore!
I feel it coming over me,
I'm still a slave to these dreams.
Is this the end of everything,
Or just a new way to bleed?
I drifted far beyond the end
Freedom, freedom
Can't you feel the ground caving in?
Freedom, give us a reason to believe again!
I feel it coming over me,
I'm still a slave to these dreams.
Is this the end of everything,
Or just a new way to bleed?
So you might earn forgiveness.
You know your whole world is waiting,
So why can't you speak?
I'm still a slave to these dreams.
Is this the end of everything,
Or just a new way to bleed?
That I'm a failure underneath
If it makes you feel like a bigger man.
But it's my, my heart, my life,
That you're calling a lie.
I've played this game before,
And I can't take anymore!
I'm still a slave to these dreams.
Is this the end of everything,
Or just a new way to bleed?
Freedom, freedom
Can't you feel the ground caving in?
Freedom, give us a reason to believe again!
I'm still a slave to these dreams.
Is this the end of everything,
Or just a new way to bleed?

It seems to me that this song is a rebuttle to Ben Moody's "10/22".
10/22 "Rants and fictions of violence, Breaking the silence, Hiding the wake of our deception, Guarding desperate secrets buried below, And you know...
This moment carries my last hesitation, Seducing anger to haste my separation, This solemn piece of a guilty net it grows, so cold, Your every breath now strengthens my affliction, My tears have faded, all hope of your conviction, You were never the martyr you pretended to be, And you know... "
I think this kind of gives this song the middle finger. "So go and tell all your friends That I'm a failure underneath If it makes you feel like a bigger man But it's my, my heart, my life That you're calling a lie I've played this game before And I can't take anymore
I feel it coming over me I'm still a slave to these dreams Is this the end of everything Or just a new way to bleed?
I drifted beyond the end Freedom, freedom Can't you feel the ground caving in? Freedom Give us a reason to believe again"
I am probably totally wrong. The first time I heard this song I immediately thought of 10/22, and every time I do hear it, I think of it. It's a really good and well written song. But it makes me a little pissed at Ben lol.
It seems like the negative version of 'when one door closes, another door opens'. When one gate of hell closes another opens I guess.
After she got out of her unhappy relationship maybe she faces something else, and she wonders, is this what will break me or is this just a different way for me to suffer?
Also I see a little bit of Call Me When Your Sober pt.2. First she rightfully blames him and calls him out, then he victimizes himself; and now she had deal with people, including him, blaming her. So she apologies (save your twisted enemy) and just when the pain of mistreatment faded away she has to deal with a new pain of being unfairly blamed.
I think this song actually refers to "Catching Fire" by Suzan Collins Amy is Katniss Save your twisted enemy: So you might earn forgiveness Katniss is talking to herself saying that she needs to save her twisted evil enemy: president Snow, form uprisings and rebellions from sparking. so he can forgive you and not kill your loved ones. You know your whole world is waiting Still talking top herself, this is when she should talk to people in the districts and calm things down, the whole of Panem is waiting for the girl on fire to speak. So why can't you speak? but she can't, she doesn't know how to do this, she is a rebellious icon, one wrong move could send Panem into a revolution
I feel it coming over me she feels the tension, fear, madness, indecision and other intense feeling encompassing her, coming over her like a huge wave about to drown her.
I'm still a slave to these dreams she is still enslaved to dreams of a Panem without injustice, and a better life, a life without the hunger games. she dreams of these all the time to the point where she feels enslaved by them, though, they are not true, and might never be. Is this the end of everything? she is living an awful life, pretending to love peeta, being a puppet of the Capitol. living on the brink of rebellion. Dreadful emotions, feels like everything is ending, dying. ALL because of the games Or just a new way to bleed? or is this just a new way to bleed, hurt, suffer?
So go and tell all your friends That I'm a failure underneath If it makes you feel like a bigger man telling Snow to tell people that she is nothing, a weed easily terminated by the Capitol. tell Panem and show them that I am nothing, an insect. But it's my, my heart, my life That you're calling a lie but he is saying that her life and love are all lies, when it is none of his business and doesn't have the right to control, though he does. I've played this game before she has been in the hunger games before, and played the love game with peeta before And I can't take anymore ANd she is sick of it and cannot tolerate any more
I feel it coming over me I'm still a slave to these dreams Is this the end of everything? Or just a new way to bleed?
By drifting far beyond the edge by drifting far beyond the span of the Capitol's control (district thirteen) Freedom, freedom, we could achieve freedom Can't you feel the ground caving in? when she shoots the arrow and destroys the arena, everything is caving in, even the ground Freedom, we can achieve freedom Give us a reason to believe again but its not enough to be free, while millions are still suffering in the districts. just give me a reason to believe that we could save everyone, a reason to believe in happiness again
I feel it coming over me I'm still a slave to these dreams Is this the end of everything? Or just a new way to bleed?
Corrected lyrics:
Save your twisted enemy So you might earn forgiveness You know your whole world is waiting So why can't you speak?
I feel it coming over me I'm still a slave to these dreams Is this the end of everything Or just a new way to bleed?
So go and tell all your friends That I'm a failure underneath If it makes you feel like a bigger man But it's my, my heart, my life That you're calling a lie I've played this game before And I can't take anymore
I feel it coming over me I'm still a slave to these dreams Is this the end of everything Or just a new way to bleed?
I drifted beyond the end Freedom, freedom Can't you feel the ground caving in? Freedom Give us a reason to believe again
I feel it coming over me I'm still a slave to these dreams Is this the end of everything Or just a new way to bleed?
It's SERVE , not SAVE
It's SERVE , not SAVE
This song was inspired by the Avengers, and if you listen closely, you can hear each one of them in their own part of the song. I've also heard that this is a tribute to Loki, which also makes sense, so that could be it too. Anyway.
Save your twisted enemy/ So you might earn forgiveness (Loki) You know your whole world is waiting/So why can't you speak? (Thor) I feel it coming over me/I'm still a slave to these dreams (Hulk) Is this the end of everything?/Or just a new way to bleed? (Avengers) So go and tell all your friends that I'm a failure underneath/If it makes you feel like a bigger man/But it's my, my heart, my life that you're calling a lie (Iron Man) I've played this game before/And I can't take it anymore (Captain America) Chorus I drifted far beyond the edge (Iron Man) Freedom/Freedom (Hawkeye) Can't you feel the ground caving in? (Black Widow) Freedom/Give us a reason to believe again (Phil Coulson) Chorus
