No one commented on this amazing song??? What the fuck, the ending is just mind-blowing and so much better than almost anything. However I think it's about losing someone and longing to see him/her back. And about remembering that someone and how the time just used to stand still when they were together. How it seemed that the world was just made for the two of them and like nothing could ever change that fact. And that makes it even more unbelievable that that someone seems now gone forever...

I agree the ending is heaven in my ears. I love songs that are bare bones in words but can have the most resounding and stirring message.
I always think about when I was 18, and a senior in high school.. and about all of the contrasting emotions I was feeling as I felt really young but at the same time old.. and I think about my love[s] back in that time and how I thought the world would stand still for us and we'd grow gray together and reminisce.
I agree with ExcessiveClaptrap.. and it's exactly how I feel at the moment. I just break out in tears everytime I hear this song. Life is so beautiful.
