Okay so I was asking myself wat the music video meant in relation to the song. Went to a yahoo question similar to it askin the question, and somebody's answer was oh it's like she's loosing her virginity. Which made no sense since she started to shake her head and get upset before she even cut her hand. So I sat and thought then suddenly it all occured to me. So it starts off black n white, then brightens and she begins to peel this apple, now the apple is symbolic to a relationhip, the lights correspond with her emotions sometimes their bright, mild bright, then they reach lows, just like a relationship. Now in the song he mentions she ended up scarred, she cut her thumb when she was done with the apple. So she's a little shaken (upset)when she first cut it, then she uses it as lipstick(yeah creepy) but it's basically her exceptance, and it's like the equivalent of her agreeing to go home with him (in relation to the song) hope i explained it right, but I'm pretty positive it's the meaning of the music video.

Also, the apple is widely considered to be the fruit that Eve committed the FIRST sin with.<br /> <br /> Premarital sex is often seen as a sin, and I think the song implies that the person was a virgin and greatly regretted giving it up to the person they did. "and I know I gave it to you months ago<br /> I know you're trying to forget."<br /> <br /> As the story goes, Eve regretted her first sin (as it was said to have caused a multitude of problems for her and everyone after her..)<br /> <br /> Anyways, that's what I think the apple is all about. : )

Some interesting things here, and glad that people put thought into things, but that video was a fan-made video, and is not the actual official video that the band made for the song.

The song is about a girl loosing her virginity. The apple is symbolic to the lost inncocence and the sudden realization of what growing up truly means. She "gave it to him months ago. . .and is trying hard to forget" The guy left her after taking her virginity and feels guilty.
