If He Likes It Let Him Do It Lyrics

If he forgets you
He forgets you for good
If you wanna feel
You better start searching some more
Because it was a happy time
Now it’s winter time
And you’re cold

If he likes it let him do it
If he likes it let him do it

I could never be a soldier
So I won’t make you stand so tall
And tonight’s the night
When there’s light in your eyes
And you say goodbye
Or I die

If he likes it let him do it
If he likes it let him do it

If he likes it let him do it
If he likes it let him do it
If he likes it let him do it
If he likes it let him do it

Just sounds like someone being used or abused, probably sexually. That would be my super simple interpretation. What an album. The drums forever <3

Anal, this song is about anal. Lolol all jokes aside I agree with the previous interpretation. Its about giving up a apart of your self worth in order to please someone else.

I'm not exactly sure who but this is about pleasing someone sexually so you can win their favor to get by. It's where consent gets blurry for a lot of people. It brings up a terrible situation of "I don't want to do this, and they're not explicitly making me, but they have what I need and there's pressure on me". A couple of the lyrics have some double meanings such as "it was a happy time but now it's winter time and you're cold". This has two meanings the first is about seasonal depression. When there's sun and life you feel happy, but in winter you get very depressed and in the song the addition of "and you're cold" adds on a feeling that you're especially low. The other meaning is a bit more literal, if you live up north you would know that shelter during the winter can be the difference between life and death. When it's summer it's less of a struggle to get by aka "a happy time" but in the time of the song, it's winter time making you desperate for shelter. Next it goes on to "him" if you go with the first interpretation you really need intimacy and the only person you can go to is a person who will only do it in exchange for sexual favors or the only intimacy you have with anyone is sexual intimacy with him. Alternatively the second interpretation is that the person suffering is selling their body for a warm place to sleep or to pay for a warm place to sleep. The second verse tells us a bit more about him. From what I interpret it's showing what he's like and he's rather toxic. He first acts like he's not making you do anything "I could never be a soldier so i won't make you stand so tall" as a way of trying to make the person relax and if they become too confident "tonight's the night when there's light in your eyes" then puts immense pressure on the person with the "you say goodbye or I die" basically meaning he's threatening to cut the person off. To which the person does more to keep them. Whether it's the last bit of intimacy they have left or a person still willing to pay for their body they will do what it takes to keep him in their life. In the background there's sounds similar to wailing which I thought was the crying on the inside a person feels when they don't want to do something but can't tell anyone about it.

to me it’s about letting someone do something to u that u don’t like but they like it, so u let them do it anyway. u lose ur self worth just for them. they don’t have respect for u. and i think that’s what this song is saying.
