Chloe In The Afternoon Lyrics
You're all legs
I'm all nerves
Black black pearl
Horse-hair whip
My own heels
Heal my hurt
Grease the wheel
Feel your floor
Chloe in the afternoon
Chloe in the afternoon
Chloe in the afternoon
Chloe in the afternoon
Chloe in the afternoon
No kisses, no real need
No kisses, no real needs
Who here
Hear your word
Ring, ring phone
Send you home
Find my heels
Heal my hurt
White white shirt
Back to work

In my opinion, this is pretty clearly about a man visiting a domme named Chloe.
"You’re all legs I'm all nerves black lacquered horse hair whip" -- pretty straightforward so far.
"By your heels" -- Domme's commonly wear heels and this may also be alluding to a foot worship/fetish.
"heal my hurt" -- Perhaps this means the man is looking for some sort of redemption from his pain by accepting pain upon himself?
"horse hair whip" -- again, straightforward reference
"be your floor" -- In other words, "I'll be your floor". Expressing his willingness to be subjugated/humiliated by the domme.
"No kisses no real names no kisses no real names" -- Didn't Julia Roberts say "no kissing" in Pretty Woman? Anyway, it is my impression that when you visit a domme, there is typically no kissing. Kinda makes sense that there's no real names either.
"Who will hear hear your word" -- I suppose that this is part of the game-play: "you can scream, but nobody is going to help you."
"ring ring phone send you home" -- His phone rings. The real world wants him back.
"Find my heels" -- Not sure. Could either mean she had him dressed up as a woman. Could mean she had one last task for him that involved her heels. Or it could be a surprise ending to all this in that this is a woman receiving services instead of a man (and she is collecting her own heels to go back to work).
"heal my hurt" -- same reference as before.
"white, white shirt back to work" -- On a surface level, this is just putting back on his/her work shirt. But also it is white as a symbol of purity faux purity that this person wants to portray to the rest of the world (as opposed to the black that he/she and the domme were likely both wearing in their session).
At least that's the best I can make of it. :)
@gonnagetjoe I'd add that I think it's about a woman visiting a dominatrix. The line "find my heels" seems to imply that.

I agree that it is about some kind of affair or one night stand but I think it might be between two women.
She says "you're all legs". Not a term often used to describe a man.
She also refers to "your heels" and "my heels". Men don't usually wear heels.
Maybe that's why there is no kissing or names being exchanged, because they are ashamed of this thing they're doing. Even more than just having an affair or one night stand, they are also gay. And the white white shirt could represent being a "normal, good" person for everyone else out in the real world. And her hurt could be from hiding her true sexuality. So, in a way, for just a little while she is healed by being able to be her true self with this other woman she doesn't even know.
This could, of course, be completely wrong. I just thought it was fun trying to delve into what the meaning could really be.
I agree. It's a similar situation in Your Lips are Red, two women.

there's a movie called Love in the afternoon by french director Eric Rohmer. One of the three main characters is Chloe, who has an affair with a married man.

no kisses, no real need no kisses, no real needs
who here hear your word ring ring phone send you home find my heels heal my hurt white white shirt back to work
definitely about adultery
at the beginning it's "black lacquered horsehair whip" and then possibly "mylar heels." sounds hot.
I think it's "No kisses, no real names."
Seems to me to be about an adulterous relationship... I don't think it's a prostitute.

These are the official lyrics as taken from the gatefold LP sleeve.
I think the two people need someone, but they don't want "no kisses, no real names" ....one night stand?
i am pretty sure this song is about the movie "Chloe". i don't know this for certain, but it describes the movie pretty accurately with these lyrics.
also, if you have an hour or so, watch the movie, pretty good.
Sure it is aboute the movie "Chloe in the afternoon ( L'amour l'après-midi) beatifull movie movie, it explains this succinct but profound lyric. Annie is freat, as always! No one can resume a great movia like she does.
