Actually it seems pretty clear it's about sexual abuse, using the rather common "she seduced me" excuse.
One can seduce without sexual abuse. (I didn't mean for that to rhyme). There are things almost as ugly as sexual abuse...deceit; emotional games and blackmail; emotional and physical abandonment, etc. Often people recover from sexual abuse. It's the emotional abuse that leave them carrying a big ugly brick on their shoulders. Opeth does have some excellent songs.

in my humble oppinion i believe the song is about loving a hooker all lines match up give yourself to me as in he loves her and wants love not sex i feel the dark when i see you as in she walks the streets at night going out to war means on the street but all points match up
contender for best song on the album along with folklore. as for the meaning, its just the usual cryptic shit mikael writes with absolutely no meaning so his loyal fans can go apeshit trying to decipher the lyrics when there is no meaning to obtain.
