Leave It Lyrics
Don't think it's what you're afraid of
come in you know what's been made up
Hold you tight, words have a new sound
reading the signs that just seep out
You've got to leave it
"Don't you go evade me now
Come see what you've done"
Each of your reasons has broken
call it off once you have spoken
Filled to the top then split open
repeating over and over
Now you have to leave it
"Don't you go evade me now
Come see what you've done
I've been thinking lately how
all these feelings won"
come in you know what's been made up
Hold you tight, words have a new sound
reading the signs that just seep out
You've got to leave it
Come see what you've done"
call it off once you have spoken
Filled to the top then split open
repeating over and over
Now you have to leave it
Come see what you've done
I've been thinking lately how
all these feelings won"

I see this song is about two people who are just so hopelessly meant to be together, but one is afraid of it and running away, "leave it" meaning don't make this harder than it has to be (because she's trying to get away). And the speaker (hold you tight, words have a new sound) knows what they have is special and is holding on to her tightly (emotionally). Because the subject is afraid of the relationship, she is making excusing to why it cannot work - all of which have been disproven in practice (each of your reasons has broken). The speaker is upset because he sees how meant to be the two are together, despite the subject's disagreement (Don't you go evade me now/Come see what you've done) and the speaker wants the subject to see the damage she has done to him. He's been thinking lately of the inevitability of their being together (I've been thinking lately how/all these feelings won"). Get over it woman. Let what must be be!
I think this song voices what a person feels like after they realise that the person they pine over will never stay and will just toy with their feelings repetitively: "repeating over and over"
The person they love knows that they can just walk back in after a while and lead them on again. So my interpretation of it is WILLING yourself to distance everything. To tell yourself again for reassurance and make yourself stronger by not letting them do it any more despite the feelings: "Once you leave never come back X2" and "I've been thinking lately how these feelings won?"
It's a self-heal and 'moving on' song that really helps in my opinion.
