For me, the lyrics are close to "Take That - Patience" song. It's about a man with his heart broken and although he still feels the pain after his past relationships, he little by little opens up to the girl that is close to him now. Well, the love is not same as the passion and sometimes it needs time. At the end of the song the man really doesn't want to lose her, as he started to gain an understanding of how much that girl means for him. Good positive song.
