I think this song is basically about a girl who fell in love with her first love and is still in love with this guy. But they broke up or the guy had to leave and she began to date another guy. Though this guy is nice and she is serious about the relationship, the fact she has been engaged and almost has a mother in law. And the guy she loved first returns and he wants her back and her the same. Since like it is your first love of course and she loves him more than the one she has now. So killing her boyfriend doesn't imply murder but simply breaking up with the boyfriend to be with her first love. By breaking up it feels to the guy as if he died.
