-- meaning -- This describes the part leading to the threesome - the desire to satisfy (not clear who's desire, I'm assuming Anthony's). The mention of cock-blocking might suggest that both girls were interested in Anthony, and because Sheila, the twin is "into memorabilia" which I interpret as "likes to create memories", the suggested compromise is a threesome (who said 3 is a crowd).

maggie gives him direct instructions how to pleasure her. ive put the first 2 lines in brackets bacause they actually make more sense after "and showed me what to do". try this : she showed him what to do in order to make it(aka her private part) "rain". rain is a metaphore for the very rare and elusive female ejaculation.

throughout the song kiedis keeps reminding us that this experience maggie gets, her time with him is limited, a one nighter: "But not for long girl It’s in a song girl ‘Cause i’ll be gone bye bye bye yeah"

thus ending his record of the time spent with this girl.

I know it all sounds pretty out there, but if you listen carefully youll see the sense behind this observation.

This song to me is a healthy mix between the old peppers and the new peppers. Sure it has its Flea bass lines which might remind people of "Behind the Sun" or "Higher Ground." It has the famous Kiedis lyrics that continually walk the line between enlightenment and obscurity. Chad's drum remind me of Iron's Drums from The Uplift Mofo Party Plan--Subterranean Homesick Blues or Skinny Sweaty Man. They have a synthy feel and sound. I think Josh is a great replacement for John. He has already played with the peppers so he knows how they are going to work. I have a feeling that if anyone else would have started playing with them would have been lost in the ether. The guitar does not lead this song. It plays second (and maybe even third) to original members Anthony and Flea.

I think this is what the song is about. It is the peppers acknowledging and honoring their past. They are saluting what they have done and thanking their fans for coming with them for such a long time.
