I wake up one morning
I check out the news
Same crap like Global Warming
And political brews
"Pathetic," I think
I can't tell why
Men fight their wars
But let their world die
As we waste away
As the people cry
I can't help thinking
"Why?"
Pouching, polluting
Poisoning for profit
With the rest just livin'
Without knowing how to stop it
Along we just play
While hoping someday
Someone will stand up
And just save the day
It seems we can't stop
No matter what we try
Asking why, why, why
We let the world die
What are we doing?
Living the lies
Of a "perfect world"
With short-sighted eyes
Why don't we change?
Why don't we try?
Ignorance, arrogance
Why, God, why?
I guess it's our nature
We wanna be the best
So we take all we can
Like some kinda pest
We take and we take
And we waste it all
A plague on our Earth
Yet we let it all fall
It seems all we can care about
Is ourselves alone
Too blinded by pride
To see we're killin' our home
Too blind to see what's effing
Right in front of our eyes
A disguise with no ties
And no compromise
As false leaders just sit there
Like some kinda magi's
We wait for the day
When they too realise
Because of our nature

Because of blind eyes
That's the reason why!
What are we doing?
Living the lies
Of a "perfect world"

Why don't we change?

Pride, prejudice

Truly I'm ashamed
To be human
Our nature's causing
Devastation on a broken scale
Riots in the day
Screaming at night
Lighting up the fires
Of a burning veil
What are we doing?

There's a reason we're here
A task we'll sure fail
To rule over this Earth
And look over its grail

Learnt from past delves
Too scared or ashamed
To save us from ourselves

Truly I'm ashamed
To be human
