there are several things i'm uncertain of, but here are some suggestions.

i'm hobbling = i'm harboring

tie me down so i can't move and i will wonder how you do improve(?) a basic gesture a telling pause

toward your gates a monkey rattles inside a cage a sudden victim ran troubling friends (fall far together?) from me to zen
