Black Ink Revenge Lyrics
I wanted this
I wanted you
I wanted it to last but you fell through
Now, east coast boys, don't you see
That here on the west, we follow our dreams,
Why don't I know you anymore
The color of your lips are red
And I swear I never wear lipstick
And oh my God, I drank too much,
Laughing while I'm crying
Don't you let them know your dying, dying,
Dying to break out
Dying to get get get out,
Through the window of the upstairs,
Click my heels but I am stuck here,
I'm pledging this vow
This is the last time
This is the last fight,
Sunsets to sunrise
Morning to midnight
And this is my goodbye
So blow out the candle
The bottle is dry
And these pages learn to think
You're not even worth my black ink revenge
I guarantee, guarantee that you'll miss me
Well, I can't stomach this
Well, I think I'm going to be sick
My heart's made of wick, and you put the fire out of it
With the kerosene
Shocked my feet
She smiled at me and closed the door
But not to sleep
This isn't making any sense
I was yours the night before this
The smell of your sheets is the remnants of it
This is the last time
This is the last fight
Sunsets to sunrise
Morning to midnight
And this is my goodbye
So blow out the candle
The bottle is dry
And these pages learn to think
You're not even worth my black ink revenge
So I'm writing you out of my dreams
And you'll miss me I swear when I leave
Yeah, I'm writing you out.
I'm crossing my T's
And I want back the necklace I said you could keep
And you miscomprehend and I scorn you til death
My words are as strong as my last gasp for breath
Leave nothing behind, not a trace or a crumb
And no clues to unlock how painful this was
So I'm writing you out of my dreams,
And you'll miss me I swear when I leave
This is the last time

"Through the window of the abyss"is actually "Through the window of the upstairs"

Actually, this song was NOT written as a copy of My Goodbye. Juliet Simms originally wrote this song after she found out her boyfriend had been cheating on her in the next room while on tour. She was heartbroken and wrote what she had been feeling in the other room and how hurt she was. She showed it to her producers and they didn't feel that it was upbeat enough...they wanted Automatic Loveletter to create a more upbeat tune. She worked for four/five days in her room to recreate a song (My Goodbye) in order for it to be put on the album. They let that pass since it was more upbeat. Since then she has been put on a different record label who let her use her original song Black Ink Revenge on their new album The Kids Will Take Their Monsters On. It has nothing to do with copying My Goodbye...
Personally, this song pisses me off. It's like they thought "Hey! My Last Goodbye was a good song! Let's just change a few words and give it a new name! No one will notice!" We've noticed...
I know Juliet wrote this song a long time ago. Way before My Goodbye. But it never fit on an album. So she probably changed it to My Goodbye but after she decided to make an acoustic album, she wanted to finally release this one? I dunno. I just know this song came way before My Goodbye.

go search black ink revenge on youtube. theres a video of juliet playing it 4 years ago. it was supposed to be on the full length album, but as most fans know, it took years and several record labels to finally put an album out. but the record labels wanted juliet to write an upbeat song, so she had to rewrite it several times to please them, and thats where My Goodbye came from.

In a video from awhile back, she said that now that her label lets her do what she wants, she wanted to bring it back to its original form. Plenty of fans already knew and loved the song from that first youtube video, so when Juliet decided to do the acoustic album per the fans request, it made sense to put Black Ink Revenge on there. I know I had been begging for a studio version.
@ShannonBB I don't want to seem hostile but.. wow... you are stupid.
