I remember when the brothers Johnson put it out 40 years ago had no idea what the lyrics really were with the exception of a few words , not to mention until today the song was a remake. people who know me would be very surprised. you could sit in a room full of people and I would bet good money no one would be able to completely recite all of the lyrics. at any rate I read some ones meaning and find it to be the best explanation, and as I stated I was around in those days, the man had to be high on acid to have wrote that , made me have a flashback. rest well thunder thumbs.

Loved this song all my life I think I was 8 or 9 when it hit the radio It was one of the songs that turned me away from lullabies and children’s music and spun me into a long love affair with music the song is a total hallucination of candy land never has poetic seemingly nonsensical lyrics made so much sense it explains the glowing happy roller coaster dizzy nauseous feeling you have at the start of a new romance I eagerly await my strawberry letter 23 too AND BLAST MY CHAPPY I WAS SHOCKED to learn it’s a cover wow wow damn that’s a wow
