Spit It Back In My Mouth Lyrics
I'm sorry that this time I was gone
I'm not the friend that you should lean on
I lost my mind for a while in the snow
But I'm last one in the world to know
Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh
Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh
We leave you our lives intact
Through chaos and the aftermath
Every man for himself has become our creed
We're searching blindly for what we need
Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh
Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh
You love me with all of your sweetness
Sometimes I want to feel it hard
I'll stay with you if you believe this
Or else I've got to go
I stay to suck up your sweetness
To spit it back in your mouth sometimes
One day you'll break down and believe this
We were the right ones after all
This love is real, don't fight it down
Just learn to dance and enjoy it
This love is real, don't fight it down
Just learn to dance and enjoy it
This love is real, don't fight it down
Just learn to dance and enjoy it
This love is real, don't fight it down
Just learn to dance and enjoy it
I'm not the friend that you should lean on
I lost my mind for a while in the snow
But I'm last one in the world to know
Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh
Through chaos and the aftermath
Every man for himself has become our creed
We're searching blindly for what we need
Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh
Sometimes I want to feel it hard
I'll stay with you if you believe this
Or else I've got to go
To spit it back in your mouth sometimes
One day you'll break down and believe this
We were the right ones after all
Just learn to dance and enjoy it
This love is real, don't fight it down
Just learn to dance and enjoy it
Just learn to dance and enjoy it
This love is real, don't fight it down
Just learn to dance and enjoy it

Awesome song!!! Kaki King is SO TALENTED. I'm pretty sure the end anthem says, "this love is real, don't WRITE it down".
Not sure on the exact meaning, but definitely about how fleeting and temporary (or even fake) love can be, and how much we can't control it, and how we can't rely on anyone to always be there and in love. The lyric about "every man for himself has become our creed" may indicate that.
Also, the part at the end may be a riff on how love is real for only short moments in time and not to expect anything more, savor it while it lasts, and don't try to pin it down or define it as an everlasting feeling.
