I love this song. Again its one of those self explanatory songs. I love how they got back together at the end.
I think it means it’s over for the guy from a relationship, and he just wanted to face the truth. Thats why he says: If you ask me, how I'm doing I would say "I'm doing just fine..." I would lie and say that you're not on my mind

i feel no need to explain what the lyrics mean considering they couldnt be more self explanatory but this is one of the most relatable songs out there everyone knows the feeling in this song as it is very common.

I love this song, and the lyrics ring true for anyone who has gone through a break up and when it seemed right at the time but to everyone around you, you are putting on the front that you are ok and fine, and that you arn't even giving that person another thought, and its when you are put in certain situations ("But I go out And I sit down, At a table set for two) That it makes you remember those rituals together and then other memories come up until you have the relisation that maybe you arn't over them, even though the other person treated you not the best, there is something that keeps you hanging on, because there is always that one person who gets under your skin

This song is about a couple breaking up. The guy is trying to get over it but just can't. He's still in love.
He was in a relationship where she slapped him around ("Put this heart through hell") but he always just loved her. then they broke up and he doesn't want to show his feelings about her because he doesn't want to complicate things or something. But at the end of the day he is always reminded how he truly does love her.
