A Sucker For Your Marketing Lyrics

whatever you put out I'm gonna buy it
so what's your latest? I wanna try it
are you still in love?
are you over it again?
when the damn thing grows old with no intent
when it's wild to see
spread its disease
when the comfort grew
to a deepest blue
and the way truth came
on its own time
when it did it came
before you realized
this was sad
this was sad
this was sad
this was sad

Cover art for A Sucker For Your Marketing lyrics by Sarah Jaffe

This song might talk about a call girl or boy that puts ads on a newsspaper and there is this person that wants to try it and knows that person which he/she, somehow knows her/him being a call girl and more, that person in the ads seems to have falled in love with this supposedly known person. So this person, supposedly decides one day just to call and enter in this world of the callgirl with this attitude of disgust mixed with acceptance of things happened asking: Are you still in love? Are you over it again?. The caller seems to emphasize the disgust twards the callgirl which turns it in a joke: When the damn thing grows old with no intent when it's wild to see spread its disease The second part is about truth which came out and destroyed the reputation of the supposed callgirl without her knowing. Now the blame seems to be on the time and the caller seems to share this emotion of sadness with the callgirl but a dissaproving one.

My Interpretation

Ps.to my interpretation time means that it was only a thing of time till someone found out and turned her in....
