Pass Slowly

I read somewhere that Shaun said it was the only song on the new album about his brother (who committed suicide). Its a pretty deep song, it could be about companionship, Shaun doesn't want a person to leave just yet because he has such a good connection with them and wants things to last a little longer. He could just miss his brother deeply and wish he had a little more time with him (probably didn't see him that much because of the band). Its a really emotional song and is my favourite on the new album, it shows that Shaun has matured as a songwriter and is at a new point in life from previous albums.

Yeah..Must agree with Pyro... At first I thought it was a love song but it must be a heartfelt message to Eugene. Beautiful song nevertheless. Seether has been one of my fav rock bands for such a long time. They're coming home again this year. Can't wait to enjoy this awesome balad with my girl in my arms. Shaun, you make us so proud to be from SA. We love you guys!!

I literally cried the first time I heard this song, he knows. I'm a huge Seether fan and this is one of my favorite songs but I have to disagree with the lot of you, this is not a song about Eugene, this is a love song. Shaun is madly in love with a woman he has to say goodbye to (for whatever reason) and doesn't want to. "Render me lonely when you're not around" And maybe he knows she feels the same way? He has to walk away again. Or maybe he sees her walking away again from his window???

I think it is about someone who has passed away and never letting them memory die.Trying to carry on life without someone you loved. It might have been Shaun writing about his brother, but that is the great thing about music...everyone hears it differently and gets a different meaning from it.
